Crazy Kaleidoscope workshop
Last week we held a kaleidoscope workshop.
It was well attended with a full house of ladies.
We worked hard to create these beautiful blocks. Although we worked hard on our scone eating and tea drinking as well, so no-ones quilt was 100% finished over the 2 days.
Some were smaller and used only 6 blocks while most undertook a large quilt making 16 blocks!
First came the ripping! I know right! R-I-P-P-I-N-G. Yes, ladies, we ripped fabric. Yikes
Next came the pinning. Lots and lots of pinning!
Then we cut our strips and began cutting our blocks.
Once all that was done it was time to sit and sew. The design walls began overflowing with blocks before we knew it.
And once all the cutting was done we began to see block after block created. With Ooohhhh's and Ahhhhhh's every few minutes.
and when picking just one background colour is too hard... pick 2!
Once you've been and learnt how to cut and line up your fabrics the possibilities are endless...
To be continued XX
